California Road Trip | Route 1, Yosemite & Sequoia National Park

This California road trip followed the iconic Pacific Coast Highway Route 1, traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco along the rugged coastline, small beach towns and wide open landscapes that define the West Coast lifestyle.

Along the coast, a stop in Monterey Bay offered a completely different perspective. During whale watching, we encountered Risso’s dolphins, sea otters and dense kelp forests, highlighting the remarkable marine biodiversity of this area.

Beyond the coast, the journey continued inland to Yosemite National Park, known for its granite walls, valleys and changing light throughout the day. A visit to Sequoia National Park added another perspective and walking among the giant sequoia trees, some of the largest trees in the world, shifts both scale and pace.

This photographic series combines landscape travel and lifestyle photography, capturing movement, natural light and quiet moments on the road — from coastal highways to national parks, from ocean air to mountain forests.

Below is a curated selection of images from Route 1, Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, Monterey, Santa Monica, Santa Cruz and the road between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
